Moon Drops 2020 - Šuman

It’s a pretty wild wine, savoury stone fruit and herbaceous flavors. Butter? Completely full and tense energy of Radovan Šuman’s knowledge. Bottled in clay keeps the wine cold. 

• Cuvée made of Chardonnay, Muskat, Rheinriesling, Pinot gris, Traminer, Sauvignon and Riesling italico
• Hand-picked grapes
• couple of days of skin contact fermentation
• 2 years aging in old oak barrels on fine lees. Presence of Botrytis
• No added sulfur

Sivi Pinot/Pinot Gris 2018 - Keltis

The facts

The intense color is reflecting the elegant red fruit aromas. It has a round fruity and herbal flavor. 

• Vineyards are 16 to 25 years old, growing on shist, clay and sandstone
• Hand-picked in the mid of September, 20% botrytis on grapes
• 6 days of maceration with spontaneous fermentation
• no added yeast, no filtration
• aged for 12 months in used 500 liter barrels.

Zelen 2021 - Stemberger

„The 2020 vintage of Zelen was a pleasant funky surprise for me. It’s different than all the other Zelens I tried! You should try, too!“

The facts

On the nose you smell elderflower, pear, ripe apples. On the palate it is herbaceous, lemony with a fresh and mineral finish. It is super juicy. 

• Zelen is an indigenous grape variety from Vipava valley
• 4 days in open vats
• 6 months in tino (conical wooden barrel) with addition of 1/3 of the grapes
• 5 months aging in acacia barrels and concrete eggs
• 11% alc

Rhein Riesling 2018 - Zorjan

The facts

Mild body with a bit of volatile acidity, long finish of orange peel. It has a great funkiness, smoothness and harmonic flavors. 

Handpicked grapes ferment in amphorae (Dolium) up to 2 years, around the first spring moon Zorjan transfers the wine into barrels, where the wine gets more time to rest and is clarified by the natural force of gravity.

Zaria NV 18/19/20 - Batič

The facts

The wine is fresh, rich with fruity notes, some orange peel and citrus. Acidity is refreshing, it is easy and complex at the same time. 

Cuvée of various vintages of indigenous Vipava valley grape varieties: Welsh Riesling, Malvazija, Pinela, Zelen, Muscat, Rebula and Vitovska.

The Zaria vineyards are 35 years in average and grow on Marl soil, the grapes are hand-picked in the end of September. All varieties are macerated together, spontaneously fermented and aged in Slovenian oak barrels.
